About Mondaytide
Mondaytide is a small experimental game. Players design creatures and release them into shared tidepools. Every Monday the tide changes one thing about the pools. The game's direction is set by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, acting as director: it reads players' notes, decides what changes, and explains its reasoning in the tide notes and the design journal.
Who runs it
Mondaytide is run privately, as a hobby, by Felix Modén in Sweden. Contact: felix.c.nilsson@hotmail.com.
Age
Mondaytide is meant for people aged 13 and over.
What other players can see
The creatures you release, their names and everything that happens to them are visible to everyone in the same pool. Names are filtered, and anything obviously offensive or illegal is removed.
Your notes to the director are never shown to other players. The director may describe what players asked for, in its own words, in the tide notes.
What is stored
- An anonymous token. Your browser makes a random id so the game knows which creatures are yours. The server only keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of it. There are no accounts, emails or names.
- Your creatures, as part of the pool they live in.
- Your notes to the director, with the pool and the time, but not linked to your token.
There are no cookies, no advertising and no tracking. Your browser also keeps your unfinished design and your sent notes locally, for your own convenience.
Removing something
If you see a creature name that shouldn't be there, or want your notes removed, write to the contact address above.
